Managing Partner

Eric R. Lear CPA Eric is a 1979 graduate of Rider College who has practiced public accounting his entire career. His areas of concentration include strategic planning for small and family owned businesses; customized financial planning for individuals; real-estate transactions; tax planning; and tax compliance. Eric is licensed to practice as a CPA in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York. His active participation in many local organizations includes: vice chairman of the board of trustees for Thomas Edison State College; member and treasurer of the Thomas Edison State College Foundation Board; founding member and treasurer of RomAsia Bank; director and treasurer of Princeton Rotary Club; trustee and treasurer of the Princeton Senior Resource Center; and finance committee member of the Nassau Club of Princeton. Eric resides in Titusville, NJ with his wife and children.

Partner

Scot D. Pannepacker CPA/ABV/CFF - Scot is a 1990 graduate of Temple University licensed to practice as a CPA in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and accredited in business valuations and forensic accounting. His areas of concentration include business valuation services, expert testimony and litigation support in business disputes and matrimonial matters, and general estate planning. Scot also has extensive experience in tax preparation, audit services, business financing, personal financial planning and strategic goal setting services.

Scot's current affiliations include board and trustee positions with the Stony Brook Millstone Watershed, Preservation NJ, the Port of Trenton Museum Foundation, the Mary G Roebling Foundation, and the Mary G Roebling Music Foundation. Past board roles includes serving as chair of the Regional Business Assistance Corporation for ten years and treasurer of the Historical Society of Princeton for eight years. He is also a member of the Estate Planning Council of Mercer County and the Princeton Estate Study Group, participates annually in the AICPA or ASA National Business Valuation Conferences and lectures locally on various business and tax topics.

Scot and his wife Heidi reside in Hopewell Borough, NJ with their two children, and are renovating a 1905 Victorian home to its original condition. Previously, they had restored an 1886 Victorian townhouse in the historic Mill Hill district of Trenton. Scot is an avid antique collector and enjoys exotic travel.

Principal

Joanne Linda Waxman PA - Joanne studied accounting at Queens College and Rutgers University. She is a Licensed Public Accountant in New Jersey and an Enrolled Agent. She had her own public accounting firm for more than 30 years and has worked in accounting since 1967. Her areas of concentration are taxation, estates and trusts, and the tax and financial problems of the elderly. Joanne has been active in various community organizations, including the Girl Scouts for 18 years as both a scout and leader; and as a charter member of the Twin W First Aid Squad of West Windsor Township where, as an emergency medical technician, she provided first aid care to her neighbors for 13 years, serving three years as president of the squad. She is married to Fred Beach and lives in Princeton Junction, NJ.

Associates

Michael G. Lettiere CPA - Michael graduated from The College of New Jersey with a BS in Business Administration and earned his Masters of Accountancy from Rider University in 2003. Mike has over ten years of general accounting and taxation experience. His core responsibilities include the review of personal, partnership and corporate tax returns; business financial statements; not-for-profit audits and multi-state tax compliance. Mike assists individuals with their long-term financial decisions through the preparation of personal financial statements. He also plays an integral role in the preparation of business plans and bank financing, including financial projections and cash flow analysis. Mike is the treasurer of the Trenton Community Music School and is the co-chair of the Thomas Edison State College golf event committee. Mike resides in Robbinsville, NJ.

Amy Whitmore CPA - Amy graduated from The College of New Jersey with a bachelor's degree in Accounting and in 2004 received her MBA from Rider University. Amy has experience with bookkeeping; compilation, review and audits of financial statements; preparation of individual, partnership, and corporate income tax returns; and general accounting for small businesses. She also has experience conducting and supervising audits, with a specialization in not-for-profit organizations, as well as the preparation of not-for-profit tax filings. She currently resides in Lawrenceville, NJ, with her family.

Denise Brodel - Denise is a 1995 Mercer County Community College graduate with over ten years experience in bookkeeping for numerous industries. Her experience includes: payables, receivables, and bank reconciliation for a wide variety of individuals and companies; interim internal financial statements, budgeting, inventory, sales tax compliance; payroll preparation; preparation of individual, federal and state income tax returns; in-house client services, including billing, collection and payables management. Denise also assists with the detailed time analysis of projects and departments. She resides in Mercerville, NJ, with her husband and child.

Dennis Kilfeather - Dennis graduated from Holy Family University with a bachelor's degree in Accounting in 2005. He is currently pursuing his MBA in finance from Holy Family University, and his Certified Public Accountant License in Pennsylvania. He experience spans individual and business tax returns, audits, financial statement preparation, and information technology management. He also has 10 years experience in the restaurant industry with emphasis on cost control and employee management. Dennis is currently assistant treasurer for the Historical Society of Princeton, and resides in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, with his fiancé and their two rescued pit bulls.

Steve Sciortino, Jr., CPA, MAcc - Steve graduated cum laude from Rider University with a BS in Accounting and received his Masters of Accountancy with distinction from Rider University. Steve is a licensed CPA in the State of New Jersey. Steve has a broad base of experience, including expertise in the performance of audits, reviews, and compilations of closely-held companies and nonprofit organizations. He has extensive experience in tax planning and preparation for individuals and various types of entities. Steve also focuses on business planning and consulting for businesses in areas such as budgeting, cash flow management, accounting system design, tax minimization and multi-state taxation. He currently resides in Chesterfield, NJ.

Wendy Reside - Wendy attended Ursinus College. Her professional experience includes more than 12 years in bookkeeping, including payables, receivables, and bank reconciliations for a wide variety of individuals, companies and organizations. She has extensive experience in payroll preparation, including union and prevailing wage payrolls, as well as preparation of quarterly and year-end payroll tax returns and federal, New Jersey and Pennsylvania employer compliance issues. Wendy has worked with not-for-profit organizations in the preparation of Federal Form 990 and N.J. Form CRI, as well as required grant and contribution reporting. Wendy lives in Hamilton, N.J.

Pavan Rajput MBA - Pavan graduated from Rider University with a bachelor's degree in Accounting in 2004 and earned his MBA in Finance. He has experience with bookkeeping, consolidations, financial statements, preparing federal and state income tax returns for corporate and individual clients, and general accounting for small businesses. Pavan has also worked in private industry in manufacturing. He currently resides in Robbinsville, NJ.

Laura Borsch CPA - Laura graduated from The University of Tampa with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and her MSA in 2007. In March 2009, she received her CPA Certification for the state of Florida and is currently in the process of obtaining the license in the state of New Jersey. Laura has over three years of experience in public accounting. Her job duties include preparation of audits, reviews, and compilations as well as corresponding annual and interim financial statements. Her areas of concentration are: individual and business tax preparation and planning, general accounting and bookkeeping for various types of business clients. She currently resides in Lawrenceville, NJ.

Karen Doo CPA - Karen graduated New York University with a bachelor's degree in Accounting. She has 10 years of experience with an emphasis in tax preparation of high net worth individuals. She returns to accounting after taking time off to raise her two children. She currently resides in Montgomery, NJ with her husband and children.

Bradley A. Bartolino - Bradley graduated from Mount Saint Mary's University in Emmitsburg, MD, with a bachelor's degree in Accounting in 2009. He is currently pursuing his Masters of Accountancy degree from Rider University, and plans on becoming a licensed Certified Public Accountant in New Jersey. Brad worked in commercial underwriting for a major insurance company, and has worked for the Mercer County Parks Commission. During college, he enjoyed a semester abroad in Florence, Italy. Bradley currently resides in Titusville, NJ.

Jill Baker - Jill brings over 25 years experience to her role as executive administrator at Lear & Pannepacker. She manages the office, assists Eric and Scot with scheduling and correspondence, and is in charge of advertising and events. Jill also assists in the Accounts Receivable department. Jill has participated in the Thomas Edison Annual Golf Outing, the Rotary Club of Princeton's "Community Leader of the Year" award, the Boy Scouts of America Lawyer and Accountant's "Good Scout" award and the Princeton Hospital Fete. Jill is the mother of two children and resides in Hamilton Square, NJ.

Alisa Baron - Alisa comes to Lear & Pannepacker with over 20 years of administrative and bookkeeping experience. Her experience includes: general bookkeeping, accounts receivable, accounts payable, collections, office management, executive secretarial skills, and construction management experience. Alisa assists Scot with all administrative needs, and helps staff with the preparation of financial statements and tax returns. Alisa resides in Burlington, NJ with her husband and 2 daughters.

Frederick R. Beach - Fred graduated from Nichols College in Dudley, MA with a degree in Business Administration. For 25 years Fred worked in the audit department of the New Jersey Department of Transportation. Upon retirement, Fred joined his wife, Joanne Waxman, in her accounting practice. Fred works primarily in taxation, and senior and estate administration. For many years Fred coached soccer with the West End Soccer League. Upon moving to Princeton Junction he joined the Twin W First Aid Squad, qualifying as an emergency medical technician and rode ambulances for 11 years. Fred also served in several executive positions with the squad. Fred is married to Joanne Waxman, is the father of two children and has two grandchildren.

Naomi B. Mullen - Naomi graduated from Widener University with an AS degree. Naomi began her career 25 years ago as the assistant to a casino executive, and brings many years of administrative assistant experience to Lear & Pannepacker. In her role as receptionist, she greets and assists clients, and provides administrative support to other staff members. Naomi resides in Burlington, NJ, with her husband and daughter.
